Storyline
Coming from a modest background, Hélène left the Vosges region long ago. Now in her forties, a sudden burnout forces her to leave Paris and return to where she grew up, between Nancy and Epinal. She settles in with her family, finds a good job, and enjoys a good quality of life. One evening, in the parking lot of a chain restaurant, she sees a familiar face: Christophe Marchal, the handsome hockey player from her high school days. Christophe, that distant object of desire, a relationship Hélène hadn’t seen coming… In their embraces, two Frances, two worlds now foreign to each other, dream of loving each other. Will this idyll, this island, be possible for them?
