November is not exactly easing us into the end of the year. Ranbir Kapoor is stepping into one of Indian cinema’s biggest mythological projects, The Hunger Games is heading back to Panem, Godzilla is returning after Minus One, and Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller are somehow back dealing with the Focker family again.

There is also Nicolas Cage playing NFL legend John Madden, a new animated Cat in the Hat, and a film about the making of Rocky.

Here are some of the movies scheduled for release in November 2026.

The Cat in the Hat – Dr. Seuss Is Back on the Big Screen

The Cat is getting another chance at cinema.

This new animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ 1957 book follows the famously chaotic Cat in the Hat in a colourful musical adventure, with Bill Hader leading the voice cast alongside Quinta Brunson and Bowen Yang.

Unlike the live-action 2003 version, this one is going fully animated probably a safer place for that hat, honestly.

Release date: November 6

Godzilla Minus Zero – The Monster Is Back

After Godzilla Minus One became one of the biggest surprise successes of recent years, director Takashi Yamazaki is returning for a direct sequel.

Godzilla Minus Zero takes place two years after the previous film, bringing back the Shikishima family as another catastrophic threat emerges.

With Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe returning, this looks like the natural next step for anyone who loved the mix of monster spectacle and very human drama in Minus One.

And apparently surviving Godzilla once does not mean you are safe forever.

Release date: November 6

Ramayana: Part 1 – One of India’s Biggest Films Arrives

This is easily one of November’s biggest Indian releases.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 brings the epic Hindu story to the big screen with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.

Ravi Dubey also joins the cast, with the film positioned as the first chapter of a much larger cinematic adaptation.

With a massive cast, mythology on an enormous scale and years of anticipation behind it, this is one release likely to attract attention far beyond India.

I Play Rocky – The Story Behind One of Cinema’s Greatest Underdogs

Most people know Rocky Balboa.

Fewer know how difficult it was to actually get Rocky made.

I Play Rocky follows Sylvester Stallone’s fight to get his screenplay produced while insisting that he play the lead himself, long before the character became one of cinema’s most recognisable icons.

Anthony Ippolito plays Stallone, with Peter Farrelly directing.

Basically, it is an underdog story about the making of one of cinema’s greatest underdog stories.

Very Rocky.

Release date: November 6

Madden – Nicolas Cage Becomes an NFL Legend

Nicolas Cage as John Madden?

That alone should get some attention.

Madden explores the life of the former Oakland Raiders coach, NFL commentator and the man whose name became synonymous with the Madden NFL video game franchise.

Christian Bale, Kathryn Hahn, John Mulaney and Sienna Miller also feature, with John Mulaney playing EA founder Trip Hawkins.

Even if American football is not your thing, the combination of Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale makes this one difficult to ignore.

Release date: November 18

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping – Haymitch’s Story Begins

Panem is calling us back again.

Set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, Sunrise on the Reaping focuses on a young Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games, the Second Quarter Quell.

Fans already know Haymitch as Katniss and Peeta’s damaged but brilliant mentor.

This time, we get to see what happened to him.

With the story positioned between The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and the original Hunger Games, expect another dark look at how the Capitol turns suffering into entertainment.

Release date: November 20

Steps – Cinderella’s Stepsister Gets Her Own Story

Fairy tales are getting another rewrite.

Steps turns the focus away from Cinderella and onto her misunderstood stepsister Lilith, voiced by Ali Wong.

When their other sister Margot is accidentally transformed into a frog, Lilith and Cinderella team up with a troll to try to save her and possibly the kingdom along the way.

Amanda Seyfried, Stephanie Hsu, Daniel Radcliffe and Peter Dinklage are all part of the voice cast.

A villain getting her own happily ever after?

Why not.

Release date: November 20

Focker-in-Law – Yes, the Fockers Are Really Back

Some family problems apparently never end.

Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller return as Jack Byrnes and Greg Focker, with Ariana Grande joining the franchise as Olivia Jones, the fiancée of Greg’s son Henry.

Naturally, things become awkward.

Jack immediately takes a liking to Olivia, while Greg is considerably less convinced.

Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo also return, which means the franchise is leaning heavily into nostalgia.

If you grew up with Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, November has a reunion waiting for you.

Release date: November 25

Gunmaaster G9 – Emraan Hashmi Heads Back Into Action

Emraan Hashmi, Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana come together for Gunmaaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt.

The film is positioned as one of Bollywood’s late-November releases, giving audiences another action-focused option before December’s holiday films begin arriving.

For Emraan Hashmi fans, this could be one to keep on the radar.

Release date: November 27

Yeh Prem Mol Liya – Ayushmann Khurrana Goes Romantic Again

November ends with something much softer.

Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, Yeh Prem Mol Liya stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari.

With Barjatya behind the camera, expectations will naturally lean towards romance, family relationships and the kind of emotional storytelling his films are known for.

After a month filled with monsters, dystopian death games and family chaos, a straightforward love story might actually be exactly what some audiences need.

Release date: November 27

So, What Are You Watching in November?

November has mythology, monsters, sports legends, dystopian survival, animation and plenty of nostalgia.

If you want spectacle, there is Ramayana: Part 1 and Godzilla Minus Zero.

If you want franchise nostalgia, The Hunger Games and Focker-in-Law are waiting.

And if you want something completely different, Nicolas Cage playing John Madden is right there.

So, which November release is getting your cinema ticket?
